Context

ReBluBook is a home valuation app built for realtors and assessors. The job of pricing a house well — and being able to defend that price — is part data gathering, part judgment. ReBluBook set out to make both faster: automatically pulling housing data and comparables from an MLS system and giving users a structured way to reason about value.

Approach

The app integrates with MLS to fetch a subject property and its comparables, then lets users apply the common adjustments appraisers and agents make to bring those comps in line with the subject. The result is a defensible market value backed by the comps and adjustments that produced it. Stripe handles billing, with a React frontend over a Node.js and MySQL backend.

Outcome

Realtors used ReBluBook to set listing prices and to hand clients solid documentation explaining why a given price was a good starting point.
